Stakeholder Input
Each state in the PRONewEngland Pest Management Network
has a State Advisory Committee composed of individuals representing a broad range of expertise and
different interests related to pest management.
Each committee meets
annually to discuss the pest management situation in their state, what needs are
not being met, and priorities for the coming year. Advisory committee
membership lists for each state are posted lower on this page. (Jump to
list for CT, ME,
MA, NH,
RI, VT).
We provide stakeholder input to help guide university,
state, and federal government pest management
programs in New England.
This feedback directs the work done directly by PRO New England, and is forwarded to
university integrated pest management education programs, and also to EPA, USDA,
and state government regulatory agencies.
In 2006, we conducted a telephone
and mail survey of all of the private sector pest management interest groups,
state agencies, and university programs listed on the PRONewEngland
People pages. Feedback from
those conversations is available at
PRONewEngland Pest Management
Stakeholder Survey - 2006 PDF (Word
file).
In 2004, we organized the
New England Pest Management Issues Conference which produced a set of
consensus recommendations. In 2002, we hosted a
New England Pest
Management Stakeholder Conference to set regional IPM priorities.
The Northeastern IPM Center
maintains a directory of pest management
priorities for the Northeastern
U.S.
